Our Story: Why Access Acupuncture?

Hello, I'm Dr. Jill Kleiber, Founder of Access Acupuncture.

For the past 20 years as an acupuncturist and owner of West Hartford Acupuncture, I have personally seen the profound need for accessible care. Every year, I dedicated time and resources to providing sliding scale and donated treatments to a limited number of patients facing barriers—whether they were Medicare recipients without coverage, military families, people recovering from cancer or dealing with chronic disability, or adjunct professors struggling with pain during pregnancy.

These experiences highlighted a systemic problem: acupuncture, a proven method for naturally improving health, remains out of reach for too many low-income and underinsured neighbors.

It was always my goal to start something bigger that could serve our community in a more equitable and sustainable manner.

Today, that vision is becoming a reality. Access Acupuncture is fueled by countless hours of work by myself, my wonderful board members, and a growing network of acupuncturists interested in joining this mission.
